It is interesting to find out that so many people would ignore the situation when a woman is abusing a man. The reasons given are "he must have cheated on her", "he is physically stronger", "he looks guilty", etc.
These generalizations can be very wrong because abusing by women can cause severe consequences as well. Men can suffer emotionally, if not physically. It does seem to be a double standard that men should be punished for abusing women but not vice versa. It reminds me that one of my male friends told me that guys would try not to sit close to girls on the bus in order not to be suspicious of molest. Well, the physical differences make gender equality very difficult! As we appear different, there will always be a discussion on how to be "equal".
